Explain how the formation of alloy can change the properties of metals
Relate the changes in properties of metals when they are converted to alloys to the arrangement of particles in the alloys
Objectives : At the end of lesson, student should be able to:
A. Content Knowledge
(i) State 3 purposes of alloying through activity match and stick.
(ii) Understand the changes in metal when converted to alloys by observing model shown by teacher and through activity ‘stick it right’.
B. Scientific Skills
(i) Compare and contrast the model of arrangement of particles in alloy and pure metal in activity ‘Stick it right’.
(ii) Classify the differences between alloy and metal in term of it properties through ‘Find and stick’ activity.
C. Scientific Attitudes and Noble Value
(i) Being confident and independent while giving idea during ‘Stick it right’, ‘Find and stick’ and ‘Let Choral Speaking and guess’ group activities.
(ii) Being cooperative with group members while doing ‘Stick it right’, ‘Find and stick’ and ‘Let Choral Speaking and guess’ a song’ group activities.
